About The Position

The EDI Analyst is responsible for the designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-wide Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and integrations. This role requires strong hands-on experience with EDI and PeopleSoft to ensure accurate, reliable data exchange with customers, vendors, carriers, and third-party partners. The EDI Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, trading partners, and service providers to support daily operations, enhancements, and major digital initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an EDI Analyst or in a similar integration-focused role.
  • Strong working knowledge of EDI standards, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft tables, EDI integrations, and transaction processing.
  • Experience managing EDI projects using Waterfall or similar methodologies.
  • Proven experience resolving EDI incidents, service requests, and project-related issues with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AS2, SFTP configurations, and VAN service providers.
  • Strong business analysis skills (requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor EDI HQ, IBM Sterling File Gateway / B2Bi, or Boomi.
  • Experience supporting EDI integration across multiple business units.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integration platforms and API‑driven integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize EDI connections with customers, suppliers, carriers, and service providers.
  • Lead EDI implementations and enhancements from request through completion using structured project methodologies.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Design, update, and test EDI maps and integrations with a strong focus on PeopleSoft compatibility.
  • Support PeopleSoft tables and configurations to ensure accurate and consistent data flow between business applications and trading partners.
  • Troubleshoot PeopleSoft‑related EDI issues and ensure integrations are stable, scalable, and well documented.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between business teams, IT, trading partners, and EDI service providers.
  • Monitor EDI traffic, resolve mapping/translation/communication issues, and handle incidents through ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and propose process or system improvements.
  • Support EDI activities for ERP upgrades, system migrations, and enterprise transformation projects.
  • Identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities within EDI processes.
  • Provide secondary support across multiple business units
  • Act as backup SME for EDI transactions and trading partner configuration, ensuring consistent service levels.
