About The Position
This is a full-time ED Tech position at Scripps Green Urgent Care in Torrey Pines, involving 12-hour day shifts and a rotating schedule that includes weekends. The role supports the emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures under supervision and assisting nurses and physicians. Requirements
- Certified CA state issued EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic) or CAN
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association

- One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions.
- Performs assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection.
- Prepares patients for examinations/treatments including draping patients, opening sterile supplies, set up and removal of IV's.
- Assist in collection of patient history and ensures confidentiality of records.
