The Bluetooth Ecosystem Program Manager owns AMD’s end‑to‑end engagement with the Bluetooth ecosystem, including silicon providers, module vendors, accessory partners, standards bodies, and industry working groups. The primary focus is on enabling best‑in‑class Bluetooth functionality, interoperability, power/perf behavior, and partner alignment for AMD platforms. This role also includes secondary responsibilities related to Wi‑Fi technologies, primarily around coexistence, platform integration, and cross‑vendor alignment. Foundational understanding of additional connectivity technologies—such as Ethernet and Cellular—is considered a plus and helps broaden cross‑domain readiness across AMD platforms. This individual works closely with SoC architects, system engineering, firmware and driver teams, platform teams, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of Bluetooth solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in Bluetooth technology—including firmware, profiles, protocol stack behavior, coexistence mechanisms, RF fundamentals, and interoperability.
  • Working experience with Wi‑Fi technologies, including 802.11 standards, client platform integration, driver behavior, validation workflows, or wireless coexistence.
  • Experience in wireless subsystem validation, qualification, or interoperability testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional technical alignment across SoC, system, firmware, driver, and validation teams.
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with external technology vendors and industry partners.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience participating in Bluetooth SIG workgroups, IOP events, or similar industry forums.
  • Experience supporting Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi integration on Windows or other large‑scale OS platforms.
  • Background in wireless ecosystem management, technical program management, or cross‑vendor technology enablement.
  • Familiarity with multi‑radio coexistence, RF interaction between Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, and wireless performance tuning.
  • Bonus skills: exposure to Ethernet, Cellular/WWAN, or wired connectivity technologies to support broader ecosystem alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive partner alignment to AMD Bluetooth requirements, including power, performance, features, interoperability, and schedule expectations.
  • Own and maintain the Bluetooth AVL for each program, ensuring component readiness, qualification, and alignment with program milestones.
  • Engage continuously with Bluetooth ecosystem partners, including silicon vendors, module suppliers, and accessory vendors, maintaining strong technical and program relationships.
  • Ensure partner adherence to Bluetooth industry standards and represent AMD’s needs by participating in Bluetooth SIG and other relevant industry working groups.
  • Attend ecosystem workgroups, standards forums, and interoperability workshops to maintain visibility into Bluetooth ecosystem direction and influence future development.
  • Drive cross‑functional issue resolution, coordinating internal architecture, firmware, driver, system, and validation teams with external partners to identify root causes and deliver timely fixes.
  • Monitor and track the Bluetooth ecosystem, including evolving standards, new technologies, supply chain factors, partner roadmaps, and emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Support Wi‑Fi‑related activities including coexistence considerations, platform integration guidance, and coordination with Wi‑Fi vendors when BT/Wi‑Fi interactions impact AMD platforms.
  • (Preferred) Collaborate across adjacent connectivity domains—Ethernet, Cellular/WWAN interfaces—when relevant to system‑level interoperability or cross‑technology interaction.
