Visit us at www.acuityinc.com.The Ecosystem Community Platform Manager (ECPM) will be part of the Alliances & Ecosystem chartered to create and deliver solutions for the market that accelerate the adoption of the Q-SYS Platform through Q-SYS Community for Developers engagement. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Developer Ecosystem and will be responsible for managing the Q-SYS Communities for Developers (ComDev) platform and growing user base and engagement.   Q-SYS Communities for Developers is a community platform made of 5k+ Q-SYS users, aimed at centralizing ideas, examples, questions, resources, and open-source code for Q-SYS users, ranging from beginner Q-SYS Control programmers to expert plugin developers.   The ECPM requires a passion for technology, a deep knowledge of Q-SYS programming, and a creative mindset that will push the boundaries of what is possible within the Q-SYS platform. The ECPM will focus on stimulating community members' activity through engaging video content creation, user programming gamification, and develop programs that impact and empower thousands of active members on the platform.   As the ECPM services a community of stakeholders within Q-SYS Ecosystem, the role requires user experience advocacy for aspiring and experienced Q-SYS programmers and developers. The ECPM will enable users by connecting feedback, ideas, and business intelligence to internal organizations within Q-SYS, such as Marketing, Product Development, Training and Sales. The ECPM has a technical mindset who also enjoys unleashing their creative side and will drive the roadmap of new platform features and manage maintenance requirements.   The ECPM will be supported by a dynamic/collaborative team while joining an entire ecosystem made of the most talented individuals in the industry. You will have the opportunity to connect and make an impact within multiple organizations inside of QSC, partners, independent programmers, software engineers, 3rd party manufacturers, and more.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in IT and/or AV technical disciplines
  • 3+ years of experience in leading/managing development projects
  • BA/BS preferred, but not required
  • IT and/or AV industry technical certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Q-SYS Training (Control 201)
  • Must be tactical, able to make strategic decisions and have comfort with ambiguity.
  • Strong leadership and coalition-building skills; including cross-group collaboration, clear communications, and the ability to influence without direct control with other stakeholders from different organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done, build consensus, resolve conflict, and solve tough business problems working in concert with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate the business value and ROI of Q-SYS Ecosystem solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools and languages, such as Excel, Power BI, Python etc.
  • Must be programmatically oriented to scale.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
  • Q-SYS Programming requirements: Can demonstrate proficiency in: Q-SYS block controller Q-SYS advanced Control scripting Q-SYS Designer user UI expert (can re-create the Control 101 Worksheet) Intermediate Q-SYS UCI design skills (UCI Scripting) Intermediate Q-SYS DSP/Video Basic Web Front/Back End development (HTML, CSS, JS, NodeJS) Basic git & DevOps skills Intermediate Networking skills
  • Has experience with Video recording, editing and streaming software (OBS, Premiere, etc.)
  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and present data from various sources and formats to generate actionable insights and recommendations for different audiences and stakeholders, by designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven reports and dashboards that align with business objectives and KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining Agile DevOps practices, such as continuous integration, deployment, testing, and monitoring, using various tools and platforms, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Hands on experience as a Salesforce user or admin.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy of technical content that will amplify community engagement and promote adoption, within the scope of Q-SYS control and plugin development, both online and during in-person events.
  • Liaison with Q-SYS training/education departments, Marketing, Sales, and Product Development
  • Design, deliver and promote community online content with the support of QSC Marketing resources
  • Video demos, live streams or webinars of the latest Q-SYS Designer features and plugins from Asset Manager
  • Low/high scope design challenges using the latest features within Q-SYS Designer
  • Low scope Q-SYS coding challenges using programming languages and libraries native to Q-SYS.
  • Casual fun community events
  • Drive the internal roadmap for new platform feature development and maintenance.
  • Participate in DevOps SCRUM meetings as product owner inclusive of light UAT testing.
  • Build program analytics data from various sources and formats to generate actionable insights and recommendations for different audiences and stakeholders.
  • Promote released content as defined in the Communities Business Strategy, on Communities for Developers and other social media communities.
  • Collaborate with Alliances & Ecosystem Marketing for approval of all official releases through a self-built release plan.
  • Represent ComDev globally both in-person and within online events.
