We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated Ecommerce Forecast Analyst to join our Commercial Finance Team to own sales forecasting accuracy and performance insights for assigned accounts with special focus on Amazon.com. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in and no less than two years of progressive .com analysis experience supporting sales, forecasting, and pricing decisions within a commercial or finance function.
  • Ability to translate data into business recommendations rather than system outputs.
  • Solid business acumen with a masterful understanding of profitability, retail economics, and financial tradeoffs.
  • Solid project management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all internal and external customers. Including translating complicated data into easy-to-understand information and recommendations.
  • Keen eye for detail.

  • Experience forecasting sales for Amazon is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to determine demand assumptions, promotional planning, and go‑to‑market decisions. Evaluates product activity to report on and provide recommendations on effectiveness, ROI, and incremental volume impact.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy and provides variance explanation. Provide recommendations for process and automation improvements; executes once authorized.
  • Work closely with Sales and Global Supply Team utilizing historical shipments data, customer forecasts, and POS insights to cross functionally manage weekly and monthly sales unit and revenue forecasts, as well as product, pricing and assortment decisions.
  • Support new-item quoting by modeling price, expected volumes, margins, and financial outcomes while considering competitive, market, and economic factors.
  • Own item-level P&L analysis, including volume, price, cost, and margin drivers, to maximize profitability.
  • Analyze Point-of-Sale (POS) data to identify sales performance trends by product, customer, channel, and region. Prepares and distributes weekly reports for sales, finance, and operations stakeholders. Provide recommendations based on analysis.
  • Monitor competitive activity, customer behavior, and market trends and translate findings into forecast adjustments. Correlate external trends with internal reports to provide recommendations.
  • Monitor and owns forecast accuracy, investigates variances, explains changes in demand or revenue expectations. Report results and offers recommendations as needed.
  • Leverage statistical forecasting tools (e.g., Amazon forecasting, Stock IQ) and applies business judgment to adjust forecasts for promotions, rollouts, seasonality, and anomalies.
  • Provide actionable commercial insights that directly influence pricing, merchandising, inventory, and promotional decisions.
  • Manage demand forecasts at the item, customer, and category level to support revenue planning and budgeting processes.
