About The Position

Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Requirements

  • Oregon Sonographer upon hire.
  • National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire or, National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree - Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • 1 year - Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience.
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
  • Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center).

Responsibilities

  • Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment.
