About The Position

Echocardiograph Technologist Pediatrics The job of a Echocardiograph Technologist Pediatrics is a highly specialized position which involves all aspects of echo imaging of patients with known or suspected congenital or acquired heart disease. This primary pediatric position will include imaging a broad range of patient ages and sizes using all available ultrasound imaging modalities. Patient exam types will include the range of fetal, neonatal, childhood, adolescent, and adult patients. Provision of services will involve inpatient and outpatient examinations. Inpatient evaluations will include all available modalities including transthoracic. Outpatient evaluations will include transthoracic, and vascular studies. Please note the following important details regarding this position: This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location: Texas: Lubbock Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements. Positions specified as “on call/per diem” refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an “as needed basis” to fill in for staff vacancies

Requirements

• Graduate from a formal approved and accredited Cardiac Sonographer program.
• Coursework/Training: 12 months of training/ evaluation will be required for pediatric cardiology studies concurrently or successively at the discretion of the Medical Director of the Pediatric Echo Lab.
• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire - OR- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required.
