About The Position
This position will be working 3 days per week (8 hour shifts). Shift start times vary from 7:00am to 10:30am. No Call, 1 weekend shiftevery 8 weeks. Our other sites are outpatient imaging departments. Scope of work Echo Techs perform a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation. Performs ultrasound tests appropriate for patient specific morphology and pathology.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.
- 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.
Nice To Haves
- CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, registered (RCS) within 180 days required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC within 90 days required
Responsibilities
