Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medicalsciences and mathematics., upon hire
  • Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours ofin-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography, upon hire
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in cardiovascular ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Performs Cardiovascular Ultrasound Procedures
  • Provides patient/family with information regarding procedure
  • Correctly prepares patient for ultrasound procedure
  • Communicates with patient, families, physician, other department and department members maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Maintains Equipment and Supplies
  • Maintains accurate log of echo studies performed
  • Maintains accurate log of charges for echo studies performed
