About The Position

About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Echo Techs perform a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation. Performs ultrasound tests appropriate for patient specific morphology and pathology.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
• Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.
• 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.

Nice To Haves

• CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, registered (RCS) within 180 days required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC within 90 days required

Responsibilities
