About The Position

Easterseals Northern California (ESNorCal) delivers remote and in-person services to people with diverse disabilities or special needs and their families. As Northern California’s premier home and community-based services organization, we provide care to diverse communities with self-determination, justice, equity, and inclusion as guiding principles, and are committed to making care delivery effective and easier for our clients. The Early Intervention Supervisor helps ensure children with or at risk for developmental delays receive the customized early intervention services they need to foster their success in school and later in life. This role is responsible for managing a team of Early Interventionists and associated operational activities to ensure internal program standards and regulatory requirements are met. This role also supports the EI Director by ensuring that program activities are focused on improving the well-being of the program’s primary stakeholders—clients, families, and staff.

Requirements

Master's Degree preferred in one of the following disciplines: child development, nursing, special education, early childhood special education, pediatric therapy, social work or related field.
At least 2+ years of experience with typical and atypical development (infants and toddlers).
At least 2+ years of management experience.
Knowledgeable of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children with or at risk of developing developmental delays and training in the field of Early Intervention
Leadership, team building, and collaboration skills
Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability a plus
Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements.
Ability to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
Commitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams
Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at various levels within the organization and key Regional Center or other funding source staff
Enthusiasm for the values of the organization including disruption, resilience, and inclusion
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.),and related computer software.
Must be able to effectively use an iPhone or cell phone
Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills.
Ability to work independently and to be flexible in changing work priorities
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.
Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. used in home visits.
Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.
Frequent driving (to and from office and client homes); reliable transportation needed.
Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients.
Frequent work inside client homes; occasional work in outdoor settings.
Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
Must have a valid California Driver’s License with Insurance and maintain a clean driving record.
Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certificate.
Must attend any ESNorCal required training.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with a wide range of children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Cantonese speaking highly desired.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of Early Interventionists in an inclusive and equitable manner that ensures high-quality care and supports team members.
Ensure team members meet program and Regional Center operational requirements, e.g., productivity, service provision timelines and take action if not.
Provide coverage for clinical sessions to ensure continuity of care and meet or exceed individual productivity targets.
Provide 5-10 direct client hours per week, when needed.
As directed by the EI Program Director, lead or coordinate program administrative, funding, and grant-related activities
Support FoC equity, inclusion, access and justice efforts
Collaborate with FoC shared services departments and Regional Center service coordinators to ensure successful completion revenue cycle, IT, and people and performance-related services
Travel to Easterseals Northern California regional offices or regions to conduct trainings and provide operational oversight
Assist in the creation and maintenance of program standards and procedures
Support community outreach efforts in alignment with grant scope and program objectives
