About The Position

Chambliss Center for Children is hiring caring and energetic Teacher Assistants to work in a one-of-a-kind childcare program located inside Hamilton County Schools. These classrooms serve children from infants to Pre-K and allow the schools to offer on-site childcare to their staff with young children. Job Details Location: East Brainerd Elementary, 7600 Goodwin Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 Schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs 8:30am-12:30pm Pay: From $11/hour with a high school diploma and limited experience. Pay increases with education and classroom experience.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a fingerprint background check
• Team player with a love for working with children and families

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education is a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children during all activities
• Help plan and lead fun, learning-based activities
• Keep the classroom clean and organized
• Work closely with other staff, parents, and volunteers
• Watch for children’s health needs and respond appropriately
• Support the overall mission of Chambliss Center for Children
