About The Position

E-Commerce Processor duties include, but are not limited to, receiving, processing/sorting, documenting, photographing and researching donated specialty items. Through quick and efficient selection and processing of donated goods, E-Commence Processors assist their department in meeting it budgeted revenue while minimizing costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words/min required.
  • A background screening will be completed as a condition of employment.
  • Proficient with computers, phone systems; familiar and comfortable with cameras and lighting.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with persons with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions and the public; ability to read documents such as instructions; ability to write accurate descriptions; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; listens and gets clarification; approaches others in a tactful manner; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
  • Simple math skills (counting, basic addition and subtraction) with reasonable accommodations; accurate with numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently arrives at work and on time; notifies the E-Commerce Manager of absence in advance.
  • Demonstrates a professional, presentable appearance, including adherence to dress code and positive attitude.
  • Is knowledgeable of, and utilizes, PPE as required for the position and the job duties.
  • Is knowledgeable of, and adheres to, the DGR Purpose Statement, DGR Guiding Principles and Goodwill Values.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all customers (internal and external); answers all emails and phone calls within 24 business hours; ensures all team members provide excellent customer service.
  • Safeguards company property (including donated goods) and employees.
  • Reports any incident of accident, theft, fraud, waste or unauthorized possession of company property to E-Commerce Manager the same day as the incident.
  • Maintains confidentiality with information such as performance evaluations, corrective actions, individual wage and salary rates and other sensitive information.
  • Works within approved budget.
  • Contributes to profits and revenue.
  • Conserves organizational resources.
  • Maximizes Expense to Revenue (E/R) ratio.
  • Monitors feedback from E-Commerce customers daily.
  • Provide excellent customer service to eCommerce patrons including, but not limited to, answering questions about merchandise, promptly processing returns, and quickly and accurately shipping merchandise.
  • Resolves customer/donor complaints or problems in a timely and courteous manner with the goal of achieving customer satisfaction while complying with agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintains systems related to the sale of goods through online platforms including, but not limited to, ShopGoodwill and eBay.
  • Develops Goodwill’s presence on emergent selling platforms to diversify and expand revenue in eCommerce.
  • Assists the E-Commerce Manager with tracking the sales of the posted items and record daily sales.
  • Assists the E-Commerece Manager with inventorying, ordering, and keep secure supplies related to eCommerce.
  • Assists the E-Commerce Manager with maintaining an efficient and organized work area for the processing, photographing, and shipping of merchandise including a cataloging system for incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Fulfills and supervises production functions such as: track and document production goals and other production areas.
  • Receives donated goods from stores, sorts and selects merchandise, prices and marks items and performs other production functions as determined by supervisor.
  • Ensures sold items are packed and shipped carefully and promptly.
  • Ensures that all paperwork and reports are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Orders supplies to replenish quantities on hand in a timely manner.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures of the store.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, complying with established procedures and policies.
  • Meets daily processing goal; effectively works as a team to meet the revenue budget of the department.
  • Assists in the selection, cleaning, description writing, and item posting onto the online retail platforms used by the E-Commerce department.
  • Assists in the photographing of items for posting on retail platforms.
  • Maintains accurate processing record(s).
  • Assists with the organization of inventory to ensure incoming items are credited to the correct store and any items to be returned are sent back to the correct store.
  • Attends all training sessions as required by the Agency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.
