Functional Ownership: Lead the technical strategy, design, and implementation of engineering solutions for EV powertrain dynos, battery simulators, and power electronics test benches. Automation Consultancy: Act as the lead subject matter expert (SME) for internal engineering groups, providing hands-on guidance to help them set up and automate custom, one-off test rigs and specialized hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems. Technical Architecture: Architect and maintain the "gold standard" for real-time controllers and data acquisition systems (DAQ), ensuring seamless integration of fault injection and automated test sequences. Standards Development: Define and enforce technical standards for test automation (using LabVIEW, Python, and VeriStand) to ensure code reusability, safety, and data integrity across all testing platforms. Facility Engineering & Expansion: Lead the technical specifications and engineering oversight for the relocation, expansion, and commissioning of new dyno cells and high-voltage laboratory spaces. Advanced Instrumentation: Specify, install, and calibrate complex data acquisition hardware, ensuring compatibility with various communication protocols (e.g., CAN, EtherCAT, LIN, SPI).
