About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring the operations and procedures of the Maintenance Department are efficient and productive in completing assigned projects and duties and in compliance with CGRC standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Perform excellent customer service at all time. Responsible for ensuring all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino complex are promptly and correctly done and completed as directed and raising major problems to appropriate person’s attention. Responsible for training and supervising the Maintenance Engineers. Ensures adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures. Operates company vehicles as required. Coordinates preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned. Responsible for ensuring staff are trained on all Engineering Safety programs with appropriate monitoring and tracking of training and performance standards are met. Conducts daily inspections of property and project areas to ensure efficient and safe operations plus trouble shoot any problems or breakdowns. May be used as an usher as needed by management for events. Any reasonable request made by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all Maintenance Engineers Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • At least five years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineering experience required plus two years’ experience in a mechanical field
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required
  • Must have strong skills in Electrical, HVAC, and Building Maintenance work, Kitchen equipment and Building improvements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
