About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Dual Enrollment Counselor to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Dual Enrollment department. Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of this position is to service and assist with the enrollment and retention of Dual Enrollment students. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions: Contacting prospective students (phone and email). Processing applications. Collecting applicable admissions documentation. Collecting and advising to tuition requirements. Providing thorough customer support and advisement. Reviewing billing and roster information for partnering school districts. These duties will be completed with limited supervision and prompt, disciplined work ethic, as well as customer service are a must for this role. Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work, learn, and be flexible
  • Must be available to work during the Fall and Summer breaks
  • Must be available to work shifts on 4 of 5 weekdays each week
  • Must be able to work close to maximum hours each week (20 during school times, up to 40 during breaks, including Summer)
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
