About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight to critical components of areas of work in the Division of Social Services and the Division of Aging. Specifically, this role holds three primary functions: Staff to the Social Services Commission; Rules Coordinator; and Legislative Bill Review and Reports Coordinator. This position oversees the entire lifecycle of bill reviews, mandated reports, and formal rulemaking. Additionally, this position provides policy analysis and administrative lead support for the Social Services Commission, while managing special projects and emergency management activities as directed by Division leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to track and coordinate timely legislative bill review.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage the full rulemaking process.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and interpret federal and state legislation and regulations; analyze their fiscal and policy impacts on Division programs; and prepare clear, well supported reports and recommendations to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance and inform leadership decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and coordinate emergency response activities.
