DSP - Special Needs Aide
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join the team in Huntingdon County, PA. BAYADA’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. Requirements
- One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation and housekeeping
- Escort clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Participate in community integration activities
