Driver
About The Position
Commercial Driver is responsible for, but not limited to, delivering and safely loading and unloading vehicles. Transfer product and stage product. Safely and consistently handle and deliver liquid products. Performs daily vehicle inspections, and cleans and maintains equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Comply with all company policies and safety procedures Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Adheres strictly to safety and security standards and procedures Load and unload truck/trailers with product Operate company owned equipment in a safe and efficient manner Transport product to and from various customer locations Provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers Interface effectively with other warehouse departments Work closely with the sales staff and dispatcher(s) for coordination of deliveries Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment and vehicles safely Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in operating commercial vehicles for deliveries
- Experience in loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
- Experience in performing daily vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Experience in handling and delivering liquid products safely
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker/hazmat endorsements, including air brakes and doubles/triples
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform various physical tasks
Nice To Haves
- At least two (2) years of warehouse or industry experience
- Previous commercial driving experience
