Driver: 1st shift; Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (PART-TIME)

JOB SUMMARY As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced part-time Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive light delivery truck (under 26,000 GVW) for pick-up and delivery of aircraft parts and other related materials.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Ability to operate a forklift or be willing to be trained and become certified.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to customers, co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
- Skill in prioritizing and managing a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Prior customer service experience.
- Prior delivery driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Verify load against shipping papers.
- Drive truck to outside customer locations and deliver/pick up customer orders and supplies.
- Inspect truck equipment and vital fluids daily keeping all filled to manufacturer’s recommendations and fill out daily and weekly preventative maintenance logs.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Load and unload trucks in a manner so as to ensure all parts and supplies are protected against damage.
- Sign all paperwork relevant to the work picked-up.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with Skills Inc. employees and customers’ representatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
