About The Position

This position is responsible for training and supporting Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA) drivers. Training and development will include new hire on-boarding, annual recurring, behavior-based, and remedial post event. Driver Support Trainers will be available to assist drivers with any day-to-day situations they may encounter. Requirements

  • Ability to access and manage data through spreadsheets and dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation Part 395.
  • One year of experience in the transportation field.
  • CDL-A Driving experience required.
  • Must pass MVR check
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Must be familiar with Department of Transportation regulations with a specific focus on Hours of Service, Driver Qualifications, Electronic Logging Device, Navigation, Permits, and Vehicle Inspections.
  • Ability to train CDL drivers with various levels of experience.
  • Deliver instruction both in a classroom and one on one settings through practical, hands-on training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with drivers, operators, and management.
  • Customer service-oriented approach, assisting drivers and managers through phone support, e-mail, or personal interactions.
  • Conduct onsite training sessions with drivers at field locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
