About The Position

New Haven Residential Treatment Center is currently hiring a Driver for our Spanish Fork campus. This role is essential to our daily operations and provides direct support to adolescent girls receiving residential mental health care. Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21 years or older
  • Clean DMV record and ability to pass the Embark driving test prior to operating company vehicles
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliability
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students and staff
  • Ability to remain seated for up to 90% of the shift, with occasional movement
  • Capability to operate vehicles, computers, mobile devices, and navigation tools
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms as needed
  • Occasional lifting and moving of items (supplies, luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds between vehicles, offices, and residential areas.

Responsibilities

  • Safe Transportation: Operate company passenger vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations (seat belts, speed limits, signals, crossings, following distance, etc.)
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspections, checking tires, lights, mirrors, wipers, A/C, heaters, warning indicators, and overall condition.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Complete required monthly JCAHO vehicle inspections and immediately report any malfunctions, damage, or incidents to the Site Supervisor.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (interior and exterior), ensure vehicles are fueled, organized, and free of debris.
  • Professional Conduct: Create a positive and respectful environment by greeting students, using names appropriately, and clearly communicating expectations.
  • Safety Interventions: If passenger behavior becomes unsafe, calmly stop the vehicle and address the situation before continuing transport.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure students do not connect personal devices to vehicle systems (e.g., Bluetooth)
  • End-of-Shift Duties: Properly park vehicles and return all company property at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support campus operations.
