In this vital role, you’ll make a daily impact by helping each individual unlock their full potential and lead more fulfilling lives. In this role based out of West Chester, Pa, you will perform residential support responsibilities for the Center. Some of your daily responsibilities include: Monitor and support client safety Facilitate communication and documentation Support transportation needs- conduct daily vehicle checks, assist with transporting good to and from other campuses as well as assisting with transporting individuals to and from appointments Assist with cafeteria and meal services- Assist with point of sale register, data entry for national school lunch program and maintaining cleaning, food handling and sanitation guidelines Engage in therapeutic interaction- serves as a positive role model, helps transition clients and provides clear instructions for participation in activities Provides supervision of assigned clients during on and off campus programming You will be offered: Opportunities to learn and grow in the behavioral health and human services fields. ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program Rate of $17.50- $19.95 an hour Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to campus Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
