Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field with an emphasis in management, and experience with driver licensing laws and procedures.
  • Knowledge of State statutes; federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations related to driver licensing and driver examining programs; Department of Motor Vehicles functions, rules, and regulations; principles and practices of management including administration, personnel, accounting, and auditing; systems design and analysis; and grant application processes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency personnel, county officials, law enforcement, the general public, and administrators in other states; interpret and apply state and federal policies; identify problem areas and develop effective solutions; communicate effectively; develop goals and objectives; establish priorities; and plan, assign, and supervise personnel.
  • Skills in presenting ideas and information clearly and effectively to individuals and large groups.

  • Advanced degree in business or public administration; demonstrated success leading large-scale operations or programs in government or regulated private sector positions.
