About The Position

This position involves driving a delivery vehicle to various customer locations, including Foodservice accounts, to deliver products. Key responsibilities include rotating and stocking products on store shelves, displays, in coolers, and vending equipment. The role also requires building small displays and setting up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners. The driver is responsible for generating invoices and daily settlement of cash and charges, and will frequently interact with store management and receiving personnel. Physical demands include repeatedly lifting and loading cases weighing 20-45 pounds, occasionally pushing/pulling with 40-150 pounds of force, and performing actions such as reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering and merchandising. The role also involves unloading pallets of product using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and placing them in designated backroom areas.

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (for example, performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Adhering to all DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Merchandising products (for example, filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
• Documenting DOT regulations (for example, reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
