This position involves delivering products to various customers, including Foodservice accounts. The driver operates a delivery vehicle and is responsible for delivering products to stores, rotating and stocking products on shelves, displays, in coolers, and vending equipment. They also build small displays and set up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners. The role includes generating invoices and managing daily cash and charge settlements. Frequent interaction with store management and receiving personnel is required for load acceptance. Physical demands include repeatedly lifting and loading cases (20-45 pounds), occasionally pushing/pulling (40-150 pounds of force), and performing actions like reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering and merchandising. The driver unloads pallets using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and places products in designated backroom areas. The role involves regular field work, visiting customer locations, and interacting with employees, vendors, customers, and the general public.
