Night Shift Dredge Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Operate dredge equipment safely and efficiently to extract sand and gravel. Monitor dredging operations and adjust controls to maintain optimal production. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on dredge machinery. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe manner.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of heavier materials with assistance.
- Manual dexterity to operate controls and perform maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
- Visual and auditory acuity to monitor equipment and surroundings safely.
