Mid Shift Dredge Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You'll Be Doing Operate and monitor dredge equipment to safely extract sand and gravel. Adjust dredge settings to maintain efficient production and material quality. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on dredge and support machinery. Communicate with plant and pit personnel to coordinate safe, continuous operations. Document production data and report equipment or safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and learn dredge controls.
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment upkeep.
- Capability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Willingness to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule in outdoor conditions.
