About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman with experience in the metal manufacturing industry to join our team. The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models for metal fabrication projects. This role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience (2–5 years) as a Draftsman in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Strong understanding of metalworking processes (cutting, bending, welding, machining).
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with sheet metal design and aluminum extrusion fabrication.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Create fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and part details for metal components including weld callout etc.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.
• Maintain and create document control and library
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable drawings.
• Provide clear instructions for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from shop floor and quality control teams.
• Reverse engineer products and create a clear drawing package
• Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and drawing records for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and other relevant standards.
• Work closely with, engineers, and operations team
• Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
