About The Position

CCG is looking for a Draftman to work in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. Job duties include but not limited to: 1. Being responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based off customer specification provided by architects, engineers using computer-aided design software CAD software.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 year of experience as a Draftsman.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in CAD Software: A strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, is essential for creating accurate and detailed drawings.
Attention to Detail: Draftsmen must possess strong attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure that the final product is built to exact specifications.
Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to assess potential problems and suggest remedial measures is crucial in this role.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of drafting principles, materials, and construction methods is important for creating effective designs.
Communication Skills: Effective communication is necessary for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree from a Community College or Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create Technical Drawings: prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings that serve as blueprints for construction and manufacturing projects. These drawings are based on initial sketches and design specifications provided by architects and engineers.
Collaborate with Professionals: work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet project specifications.
Revise and Update Drawings: responsible for revising and updating drawings based on feedback and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure Compliance: must ensure that all technical drawings comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Conduct Site Visits: may conduct site visits to gather data and verify that design specifications are being met.
