About The Position

Your Legacy Legal Care® is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney (1–3 years) who excels in both drafting and reviewing estate planning and elder law documents. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys focused, detail‑oriented work, understands the nuances of estate planning design, and takes pride in producing accurate, high‑quality documents that support families during important life decisions. This is a non‑client‑facing role. You will not conduct consultations or sales meetings. Instead, you will work closely with our planning attorneys to ensure every plan is drafted, reviewed, and finalized with precision. This position is hybrid, combining in‑office collaboration with remote drafting flexibility. The Drafting & Reviewing Attorney prepares and reviews all estate planning and elder law documents based on design meetings conducted by our planning team. You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and legal soundness across all documents while maintaining the firm’s drafting standards. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys deep, focused work and wants to grow their estate planning expertise in a supportive, process‑driven environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed Texas attorney in good standing
  • 1–3 years of estate planning drafting experience required
  • Strong understanding of wills, trusts, and core estate planning documents
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret design notes and translate them into precise legal documents
  • Comfortable working independently while staying connected to a collaborative team
  • Organized, efficient, and deadline‑driven
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with reliable communication and availability

Responsibilities

  • Draft wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related estate planning documents
  • Draft and review elder law documents, including Medicaid planning instruments, when needed
  • Review all drafted documents for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with attorney design notes
  • Identify inconsistencies or issues and collaborate with planning attorneys to resolve them
  • Maintain consistency with firm drafting standards, templates, and workflows
  • Manage drafting and review timelines to meet internal deadlines and client signing schedules
  • Conduct internal quality checks to ensure documents are complete and error‑free
  • Collaborate with operations staff to support smooth client delivery
