Position Summary: Actively engage with community members, organizations and youth to plan and promote youth programs at the MSU Extension, Detroit Partnership for Food, Learning, and Innovation (DPFLI) facility. DPFLI is an urban agriculture center which also serves as a community space for recreation, respite and connecting with nature. You will develop and maintain outreach efforts in and around the Brightmoor neighborhood (northwest Detroit) and plan and assist with programs and special events, specifically involving youth in the 4-H program. Other duties include: ensuring safety of children, visitors and co-workers, facilitating setup, breakdown, check-in, on site presence or other duties or projects as assigned by the 4-H Program Coordinator supervisor.
