About The Position

The Field Service Representative will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Role will be responsible for supporting the R391 (C130) Composite Propeller System and related components at a customer site. Possibility for travel up to 60% of the time. As a Dowty Field Service Representative, you will provide technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of GE products. This role requires hands-on repair and maintenance of composite propeller systems and related components, with the possibility of up to 60% worldwide travel. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of aviation experience in a field service or maintenance position).
  • Minimum of 2 years performing extensive repairs, conversions, and maintenance on engines and/or propellers.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
  • Must pass a non-DOT drug test and background check.
  • Position is based at Channel Island, Ca.
  • Must meet U.S. export control requirements.
  • Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and assistance to customers in operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of GE products.
  • Interpret data and technical instructions on-site.
  • Communicate program status, customer issues, and market intelligence to Product Support and Field Service teams.
  • Assist customers in scheduling maintenance and ensuring parts meet established schedules.
  • Perform intermediate and depot-level maintenance, including hands-on repair of composite propeller systems.
  • Collaborate with the UK services team for civil customer support.
  • Review maintenance effectiveness and recommend training needs.
