About The Position

As the Dorm Custodian, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day employee housing functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The basic responsibility of this position is to provide cleaning and upkeep of the public areas in Employee Residences at a specific location. The Dorm Custodian will follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and work with the Housing Manager/Assistant and Residence Coordinators on special projects as needed. Requirements

  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Safe, thorough cleaning of employee dorms and their immediate vicinity.
  • Use of proper operating and preventative maintenance techniques with Company issued equipment and cleaning agents such as vacuum cleaners and chemicals.
  • Handle issued keys with proper level of security.
  • Independently perform routine cleaning duties to maintain health and fire safety standards in residences.
  • Serve as a role model for residents. The minimum expected is the personal observation of all residence hall regulations, Xanterra Parks & Resorts policies, state and federal laws.
