Donor Services Team Leader
About The Position
Are you looking to make a difference in your community? LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as as a Donor Services Team Leader in Opelika, AL. This position is responsible for ensuring the donor center and/or bloodmobile operates safely, efficiently, and effectively. The selected candidate will also directly supervise one to six Donor Technicians. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR Certification
- Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledgeable in a variety of computer software applications
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- One year of donor collections experience preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
Responsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Oversee donor collection functions
- Ensure all collections operations comply with LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Oversee, direct and monitor all activities of staff
- Properly complete and account for all paperwork, test tubes and blood associated with Donor Collections
- Ensure quality control on all blood collection equipment is performed and records are maintained appropriately
- Maintain stock supply in donor room
- Display positive customer service skills to both internal and external customers
