About The Position

The Donation Center Attendant is responsible for accepting donated clothing, shoes, and household goods through a drive-thru system at a Fixed Donation Center. This role involves engaging with donors to communicate the positive impact of their donations on the community, partners, and the planet. The attendant will also interact with truck drivers and other team members to organize and recycle donations in both indoor and outdoor settings. Key duties include maintaining a clean and orderly donation center according to company standards, safely loading and unloading donor vehicles and box trucks, and working efficiently in various weather conditions. Additional tasks include loading and unloading carts, inspecting and sorting items, and preparing products for recycling.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Capable of building and sustaining relationships with peers, management, and donors.
Able to accurately keep records and communicate progress to management.

Responsibilities

Accept donated clothing, shoes, and household goods through the drive-thru at our Fixed Donation Center.
Engage with donors and communicate the impact donating has on our community, partners, and planet.
Interact with truck drivers and other team members to organize and recycle donations in an indoor and outdoor situation.
Help sustain and maintain a clean and orderly Fixed Donation Center, based on company operational standards.
Work safely and efficiently in loading and unloading donor vehicles and box trucks.
Possess the ability to regularly work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions.
Loading and unloading carts.
Inspecting and sorting clothing, shoes, and other items.
Prepping and organizing products for recycling.
Other duties may be assigned by a working supervisor.
