About The Position
At KARM Stores, every item you process helps fund life-restoring services for men, women, and children across East Tennessee. During the Christmas season, our stores experience increased donation volume and customer activity, and our seasonal team plays a vital role in helping us serve our community well. If you’re looking for meaningful seasonal work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, KARM Stores is hiring Christmas Seasonal Team Members to support store operations now through January 2. The Christmas Seasonal Team Member helps support store and processing operations during KARM Stores’ busiest season of the year. This role may assist with receiving donations, sorting merchandise, preparing items for the sales floor, keeping work areas organized, supporting inventory movement, and helping create a positive experience for donors, shoppers, and team members. Seasonal team members may be placed in processing, sales floor, donation receiving, or other support areas based on store needs.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Availability to work Saturdays and flexible shifts
- Commitment to working respectfully within a mission-driven workplace
Responsibilities
- Receive & sort donated merchandise
- Inspect, evaluate, and determine sellable quality
- Price & prepare items for the sales floor
- Meet daily & weekly production goals (Company Target: 35 processed pieces per hour)
- Maintain organization & safety within the processing area
- Work closely with team members to keep inventory moving efficiently
