St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco’s mission is to offer hope and service, on a direct person to person basis, working to break the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence. The Domestic Violence Case Manager for the Community Office provides a range of direct services to survivors of domestic violence at our Community Office located on the ground floor at 1175 Howard Street. This position will work with other Domestic Violence Case Managers, for clients who are referred to the Riley Center, by drop-ins or follow up services from form residents who participated in one of our DV shelter programs. The Riley Center, a division of St. Vincent de Paul, offers crucial shelter and comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence. This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position working 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends. The Community Office Case Manager will mediate and resolve challenges, utilizing a trauma-informed lens, Motivational Interviewing and OARS techniques (Open questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summary reflections). This position will require strong administrative skills and the ability to reviewing, process, and maintaining a caseload of clients. The candidate will have a keen focus on connecting clients and families to supportive services and community resources. Supportive services include but are not limited to, linkages to existing programs in the San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, harm reduction services, public program benefits, health services, peer counseling and behavioral health services.
