YWCA GLA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA GLA provides direct services, empowerment programming, and advocacy to support marginalized individuals and families, especially women and girls of color, while working to challenge structural barriers to equity. Position Overview The DV Prevention and Community Educator designs and implements domestic violence prevention and community education activities aligned with the mission of YWCA Greater Los Angeles and the Survivor Empowerment Services department. Core responsibilities include developing awareness campaigns, curricula, trainings, community events, and coordinating support groups and healing-centered spaces that promote safety, empowerment, and healthy relationships. The position also participates in the 14-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Response Team on a rotating, on-call basis and delivers services using trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically responsive practices.
