About The Position

This position is responsible for administrative support in the Dog and Cat Program. This position is the first point of contact for the Dog and Cat Program and will be responsible for incoming communications from constituents, industry, and staff. This position will involve professional day-to-day office functions, with the opportunity to work within a variety of programs and duties. Requirements

  • Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; OR
  • Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment
  • Regular and Reliable attendance is required
  • Good communication skills
  • Likes to work with people
  • Experience with modern office equipment and technologies
  • Some writing skills
  • Ability to multitask

  • Some Agriculture background preferred due to technical terms and knowledge but can be learned on the job

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support functions
  • Manage the main phone line
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications
  • Perform electronic scanning
  • Index documents
  • Manage mailing tasks
  • Assist with material development
  • Perform data entry
  • Learn general understanding of the programs to answer questions
  • Organize files
  • Review documents for accuracy
  • Assist with the processing and collection of fees
