About The Position

The Document Scanning Technician is responsible for scanning all records into the appropriate database on a timely basis. The position will maintain daily workflow, insuring that records are scanned in a legible and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing. Perform daily reconciliations by retrieving records from the nursing units and discharge logs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Reading and numerical competencies with some advanced technical training preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a clerical position, preferably in a hospital or physician medical record department.
  • Previous experience with imaging equipment and database storage preferred.
  • Ability to produce and retain legible digital records scanned into a database in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to stringent HIPAA guidelines
  • Reconciliation of logs and records according to department procedures and process.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize data for effective workflow and retrieval
