About this Role Onsite in Birmingham, AL 3500 Colonnade Parkway Project Control Managers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution and success of projects by managing the Document Control functions within a project. This role requires some level of supervision over administrative/document staff members performing the Document Control functions. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Highly knowledgeable about standard document control standards, process, procedures, and systems.
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Ability to solve problems and handle conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
• Proficient communicating with clients and technical/engineering teammates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer all Document Control related activities – including but not limited to maintaining client compliance and managing the receipt, transfer, tracking, and storing of project documents.
• Coordinate, supervise, and delegate daily duties of the document control staff.
• Coach and evaluate the document control staff.
• Develop and execute training of document control staff.
• Develop and coordinate new policies and procedures regarding document control processes.
• Provide training to other departments on document control procedures.
• Respond to requests of all types from teammates, supervisors, clients, and vendors.
• Manage distribution matrix to ensure the proper distribution of project data is appropriate and consistent to project needs.
