About The Position

The Marvin Group is a Strategic Partner for Global Alternate Mission Equipment and Sustainment The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS).  Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment.  Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. For over 60 years we have maintained “A Tradition of Excellence”, serving as a trusted source for our unwavering commitment to supporting all branches of the Department of Defense and our global allies. Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.   POSITION SUMMARY:  Support day-to-day production document control tasks, including sorting, processing, documenting, and filing MEC & Customer data so that it can be used when requested for product documentation.  Upload and download data to customers and suppliers through the MEC Portal.  

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Can perform in a teaming environment
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Scan, save and shred documents as necessary
  • Assist transfer of data from internal server to cloud based storage
  • Collect metrics for daily number of tasks completed
  • Maintain internal data management systems, ensuring data accuracy and archival as necessary
  • Manage release, distribution and recall of Controlled Documents. (includes managing approvals of ATPs)
  • Maintain archives of controlled documents in accordance with requirements
  • Providing and receiving data (e.g. RFQs, RFPs, POs) from Suppliers and Customers through the MEC Portal
  • Coordinate with Information Technology on MEC Portal Maintenance
  • Monitor metrics and support continuous improvement
  • Maintain control and records of Xray film
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
