About The Position

As Doctrine and Training Developer, you will provide doctrine and training product development support for the creation, revision, and review of Irregular Warfare (IW) products for the Special Operations Center of Excellence (SOCoE). This role ensures integration and synchronization with service and/or joint operational forces and allied partners. You will conduct extensive research and analysis to create Irregular Warfare products that accurately articulate proper processes, procedures, and techniques to mitigate adversary financial resources and capabilities.

Requirements

  • An active DoD SECRET at minimum but prefer TS.
  • Minimum of 15 years of military/DOD experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Special Operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of training and exercise development and delivery.
  • Prior assignment within Army Special Operations (Active Component Special Forces, Psychological Operations, or Civil Affairs).
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing current and future threats to provide Soldiers with relevant training.
  • Demonstrated operational or institutional training domain experience and integration across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership & Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF).
  • Demonstrated familiarization with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-wide training programs.
  • Experience integrating information, analysis, technology, and interagency collaboration, lessons learned, and best practices for training support to enable effective and efficient dissemination of threat training.

  • Demonstrated experience focused on the collection, analysis, and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices to ensure the Service has current information on emerging threat environments, trends, TTPs and information on effective countermeasures.
  • Proven understanding of and experience with readiness resource requirements and CTEs at CTCs, regional collective training centers, Mobilization Force Generation Installations, major mission command, and home-station training events.
  • Experience assessing training and preparing units for deployment into conflict zones.
  • Experience planning, directing, and synchronizing intelligence collection, analysis, and production in support of training, deployment, and contingency operations.
  • Proven understanding of the emerging and non-traditional concepts that are shaping the character of contemporary joint and multinational warfare.
  • Demonstrated familiarization with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-wide training programs.
  • Experience integrating information, analysis, technology, and interagency collaboration, lessons learned, and best practices for training support to enable effective and efficient dissemination of threat training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to create and/or revise doctrine and training products that accurately articulate current unit missions, core and supporting activities, interagency roles, force structure, and capabilities in compliance with doctrine and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide doctrine or training product development by performing research, analysis, and documentation to adequately support the Army conventional and special operations forces.
  • Develop and/or revise IW doctrine and training products that integrate Army conventional and Special Operations Forces mission functions utilizes the Training Development Capabilities (TDC) system and Army Training Management System (ATMS) Development Tool.
  • Maintain knowledge, proficiency, and currency in web-based platforms and tools used to manage development and approval of individual and collective training products.
  • Perform research, analysis, and data management updates as needed in support of the SOCoE.
  • Coordinate/integrate commands training requirements into a resource model that supports the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Coordinate, interface, and synchronize with Joint and Army staff, interagency, proponent Centers of excellence (CoE), TRADOC, and Operational Forces to develop Counter Threat Finance doctrine and training products inclusive of core and enabling activities.
  • Conduct functional analysis of management and training challenges and constraints.
  • Use mathematical equations to support viable solutions and impacts of alternative courses of action.
  • Evaluate Combined, Joint, Multi-Service, Army, and ARSOF doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures to identify current collective tasks or develop new collective tasks in support of changing missions.
  • Develop and/or evaluate collective training products to ensure compliance with Army, TRADOC, USASOC and SOCOM guidance.
  • Assist other training developers in creation of training products.
  • Develop and/or revise Collective Tasks in accordance with Regulation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Develops Individual Tasks in accordance with Regulation and SOPs, as required.
  • Review tasks according to the Collective Task Review Checklist.
  • Coordinate with Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS) point of contact to ensure accuracy.
