About The Position

Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation, is seeking a customer-focused Dock Master to join their dock operations team at Homestead Black Point Marina, FL. Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to innovation and transforming experiences on the water. Freedom Boat Club, founded in 1989, is the world's largest members-only boat club, with over 400 locations. They provide a 'Boating Made Simple' experience by handling fueling, cleaning, and maintenance for their members. This part-time position involves working outside and near the water, greeting members, managing check-ins/check-outs, maintaining vessels, and performing daily clerical tasks. The role is ideal for friendly, upbeat individuals with a passion for marine recreation who can deliver exceptional service and work effectively within a united team.

Requirements

  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • High school diploma
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
  • Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
  • Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
  • Adhere to all safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet
  • Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is functional and on board
  • Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to company standards
  • Daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs, and weather reports
  • Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
