About The Position

The Cook III will have extensive working knowledge of grill cooking. Cook III primary goal is creation of menu items in a timely manner and keeping quality at the forefront.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 plus years of direct fine dining cooking or running of the traditional grill
  • Food handler certified (within 60 days of employment)
  • Serve-Safe certified (within 60 days of employment)
  • Basic operation of standard kitchen equipment (grill, flat top, range, salamander)
  • Understanding of Serve-Safe/ food handler terminology (i.e., FIFO, stock rotation)
  • Ability to read tickets
  • Ability to food cost menu items deemed “fire” sale by Sous Chef
  • Ability to handle pressure.
  • Work well with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Fine dining experience a plus.
  • Large volume kitchen production

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the ticket time for all ordered menu items.
  • Working knowledge of menu creations.
  • Monitor and control food production for quality and taste
  • Ability to work effectively with team.
  • Control excess waste of product.
  • Take direction from immediate shift leaders.
