About The Position

The Division Finance Director (DFD) provides critical leadership on strategy, planning, analysis, and other finance related activities for the Midwest division in close partnership with the Division Director and Division Leadership Team. The DFD is responsible for oversight of Division-wide finances and maintaining an effective finance staffing model. They identify gaps in alignment and efficiencies and ensure financial management standards and compliance requirements are met. The DFD represents the division in regional and organizational-wide initiatives and tailor implementation for their division. This includes addressing challenging situations effectively that would impact the financial or operational situation long-term. They will not directly manage BU Finances, however, they will develop standards that impact BU-level processes in their divisions. The DFD will also be responsible for synthesizing financial information for senior leaders and developing creative financial strategies to drive resources towards critical work. They provide subject matter expertise and serve as a resource to their BUs and direct alignment across their division. The DFD will report to the North America Region Senior Finance Director with a dotted line to the Midwest Chief of Staff/Director of Conservation Portfolio Management. This position closely collaborates with the Midwest Finance Cabinet as well on processes and reviews and will identify opportunities for alignment, shared initiatives, and operational efficiencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience recruiting, supervising, and developing staff
  • Experience designing, implementing, and directing multiple complex projects
  • Experience with accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong executive presence
  • Experience with complex financial analysis, including analyzing provided data and sharing to stakeholders
  • An innovative mindset to develop and implement organizational improvements
