About The Position

CONMED is seeking an Orthopedic District Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for attracting, training, retaining, and managing sales talent to achieve sales revenue in your assigned district. In addition, you will help strategize, plan and coordinate selling activities of the sales representatives under your supervision. As an Orthopedic Sales Manager, you will report to the Regional Director who will assist in helping you develop plans that focus on maximizing sales opportunities in the district and push you to exceed each goal. As a team player, you will ensure that your team provide outstanding customer service and executes demonstrations/presentations within the Operating Room & office settings to surgeons and hospital personnel. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited University (MBA or MA preferred)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience within the medical device industry
  • High level of energy, motivation, drive, perseverance, initiative, commitment & professionalism
  • Excellent time management and ability to effectively prioritize
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to drive an automobile
  • Ability to meet with customers at hospitals and to be a member of a credentialing agency

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business plans under the direction of the Regional Director
  • Achieves sales quotas by driving sales teams to deliver above market share growth through product sales introductions in assigned district/territory.
  • Implements sales strategies and tactics for the area, promoting products to existing and new customers through the sales reps.
  • Establishes and develops rapport with key surgeons and engage with admin level customers (hospital and ambulatory surgery centers) to lead and manage positive and productive relationships.
  • Recruit, hire, trains and manage a performance-oriented sales team
  • Maintains routine communications, field rides, management support, leadership, performance management and development of each direct report.
