District Managers are a critical element to the success of our long-term business strategy. This position oversees all district operations in the store, restaurant, and tire care center. Responsibilities include overseeing, directing, and coordinating activities around the district to better serve customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in retail, restaurant, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management experience.
  • 5+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $10+ million.
  • 5+ years deciphering and impacting budgets and P&L statements.
  • 5+ years supervising and training 200 plus employees.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
  • Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee-vehicle deployment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
  • Must be able to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire team members by aligning with Love’s Core values and providing clear direction.
  • Set and uphold brand, performance, and behavior standards, ensuring accountability among store teams.
  • Lead productive conference calls and team meetings to foster effective communication.
  • Manage employee turnover and retention, supporting the GM in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop a succession plan to facilitate internal promotions within the team.
  • Collaborate with the GM to address financial opportunities identified in monthly P&L and weekly 13-week reports.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and promptly report any issues to the GM.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee audit processes to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to cash handling and Love’s policies and procedures.
