About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The Distribution Clerk in collaboration with other departments configures all set up related activities for order processing to flawlessly support all customer’s shipping requirements.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organization skills and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
Basic PC Skills/Experience
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment where temperature is affected by weather conditions
Ability to operate machinery such as but not limited to manual pallet jack, tape machine, box erector, dunnage machine, pallet wrapper, bander, and P-and-A in a safe manner, following all safety/OSHA procedures.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
Must have good manual dexterity and able to do repetitive hand motions
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
At least one (1) year of work experience in a distribution/warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, prepare, maintain, and ship orders per Customer(s) requirements
Verify/Ship orders using auto fast single and multi-package shipping options
Check shipments for proper packaging and required dunnage
Ability to follow work instructions and customer specific routing guide summaries/ business rules
Ability to understand, follow & verify written distribution instructions, and count accurately
Ability to identify non-conforming orders and/or ones with defects
Understanding of proper palletization and wrapping
Understand the difference between DCL-owned and Customer-owned boxes
Understand the difference of SN, UPC, Scanning of QR Code, Lot, and Box LPN
Ability to properly identify order status and use pallet flag indicators
Understand pictorials, catalogs, job aids, and inserts
Adheres to 5S Standards
Maintain compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned
